CSA Program

JCARF has partnered with Finnriver, the Chimacum Center, and local farms to create a weekly CSA box for BIPOC families! Shares have included fresh seasonal veggies and fruits, as well as flower bouquets from Sweet Seed Flower Farm and bread from the Neighbor Loaves program with Finnriver Grain, the Community Wellness Project, and Pan D'Amore. We're exploring ways to extend the program throughout the winter months, by expanding offerings into local meat, eggs, and dairy, dried and preserved goods.

Building resilient, accessible local food systems that support Black, Indigenous, and People of Color is part of our reparations work. We look forward to expanding our CSA capacity to serve more recipients in the coming seasons. The CSA is free of cost and open to any BIPOC in Jefferson County regardless of income, and we coordinate deliveries for members who need it. As we are gradually building our CSA capacity, new membership will be first-come, first-served. If you'd like to be a recipient for next year's CSA, or if you have something to contribute to our CSA, please reach out to info@jcarf.org!
